Swearing-In of Unit Committee Members, Election of Area Council Members and Inauguration of Area Councils at Acherensua and Hwidiem

The Asutifi South District Assembly has successfully held a series of local governance activities at Acherensua and Hwidiem, including the swearing-in of Unit Committee Members, the election of Area Council Members, and the formal inauguration of the Area Councils.
The events brought together newly elected community representatives, traditional authorities, district officials, and residents who gathered to witness this important milestone in enhancing grassroots governance.
Newly elected Unit Committee Members were officially administered the Oath of Office and the Oath of Allegiance, signifying their readiness to contribute to community development and effective local administration. This was followed by the election of Area Council Members, who will play key roles in local decision-making, community mobilisation, and facilitating service delivery at the sub-district level.
Assembly officials, in their remarks, highlighted the importance of strong, accountable, and collaborative leadership in promoting development within the district.
