The Asutifi South District Assembly held its general assembly meeting on 27 August 2026 at the Hwidiem District Assembly Conference Hall. The meeting served as the assembly’s highest deliberative, legislative, and decision-making forum for advancing local governance and development.
Key presentations included the Executive Committee (EXECO) and Public Relations and Complaints Committee (PRCC) reports. The House also discussed and ratified the revised composite budget presented by the budget officer.
The Planning Officer, Pln. Sabina Obeng presented an update on the implementation of projects and programmes for the first half of 2026, while the budget officer, Mr. Francis Adu, presented the assembly’s mid-year revenue performance.
Following discussions, the House adopted key recommendations, approved the revised composite budget, and called for stronger revenue mobilization and the timely implementation of planned projects and programmes.
Present at the meeting were the District Chief Executive, Hon. Assabil Donkor; the Presiding Member, Hon. Alhassan Mohammed; and the District Coordinating Director, Mr. George Osei. Also in attendance were all Assembly Members, heads of departments, and other relevant stakeholders.
The meeting reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to accountable governance, effective service delivery, and the sustainable development of the district.
