The town of Hwidiem stirred to life led by Hon. Benjamin Assabil Donkor, District Chief Executive of Asutifi South, led the district’s maiden clean-up exercise. Armed with brooms, shovels, and a shared sense of purpose, residents joined forces with assembly members, churches, and traditional leaders to desilt drains and clear plastic waste choking the streets.
The initiative wasn’t just about sanitation—it was a call to civic pride. Hon. Donkor introduced a reward scheme to encourage participation, offering bags of cement to the most active churches. By midday, the town gleamed with renewed energy, and the community stood united, proving that transformation begins with a single sweep.
